TYT's new truck scale system is one of Miliem's projects that demonstrates our ability to deliver customized, automated solutions fully adapted to our customers' needs.
Since fall 2023, work has become easier for the Drummondville company's truck drivers. The axle scale's larger-than-usual platform, just over 12 feet wide and 25 feet long, accommodates the many trailer configurations Groupe TYT uses to meet its customers' specific needs.
This unattended axle weighing system consists of several components, including a transaction kiosk developed entirely by Miliem. The kiosk is equipped with a touchscreen PC, an RFID smart-card reader and a thermal printer.
The integrated detection system and Lazerlight 3 remote display guide drivers through the weighing sequence, helping them confirm their position and view axle loads and total weight in real time.
Once the operation is complete, the operator can print a weigh ticket showing the date, time and all weighing details. This information can also be emailed to a designated address.
